Account Deletion & Data Removal

At Abzar Kankor, we value your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you wish to stop using our services and want your personal information and educational progress deleted from our systems, you can do so at any time.
How to Request Account Deletion
You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data through either of the following methods:
Method 1: Within the App (Recommended)
- Open the Abzar Kankor app on your device.
- Log in to your account.
- Navigate to Profile or Settings.
- Tap on "Delete Account".
- Confirm your request. Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately.
Method 2: Via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request deletion by contacting our support team:
- Send an email to: support@abzarkankor.com
- Subject: Account Deletion Request
- Please include the email address associated with your Abzar Kankor account.
- We will process your request within 7 business days.
Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following information will be permanently removed from our active databases:
- Personal Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Educational Progress: All records of videos watched, completion percentages, and test scores.
- Flashcard Data: Your Leitner box mastery levels and review history.
- Notes & Annotations: All timestamped notes you created while watching videos.
- Library History: Records of books viewed or downloaded.
Data Retention and Exceptions
What happens after deletion?
Once the deletion process is complete, your data cannot be recovered. You will lose all your progress and notes permanently.
Data We May Keep
We may retain certain data only if required by law or for legitimate business purposes as follows:
- Transaction Records: If you made any purchases, we retain financial records for tax and auditing purposes as required by law.
- Aggregated Data: We may keep anonymized, non-identifiable usage data (e.g., total app downloads) to improve our services. This data cannot be linked back to you.
Retention Period
- Immediate Deletion: Most personal and progress data is marked for deletion immediately upon your request.
- Backup Cycles: Complete removal from all backup systems may take up to 30 days due to standard data backup rotations.
